Just used last of my FD No 7's and need to order more blades as have a load of stand up jigsaws, cars and helicopters to cut for a local Infant School , cutting 25 and 32 mm WRC and wondered what the consensus of opinion was on which of the two manufactures had the edge

Will complete cutting with No 5's so have time to act on suggestions/advice

I personally prefer the pegas blades. Just seem to get on better with them.

P'egas for me I personally think that they turn tighter and quicker than any other blade that I have used, and the reverse skip and double reverse skip leave a clean edge underneath.

Pega blades are a better blade than the Niqua but equally as good as the pegas blades are the Olsen blades. I would have a study of both and then make a decision. I shall never use FD blades again and sent off for some double reverse Pegas blades but I could just not get on with them, Cutting 3/4 inch thick hardwoods I had to increase the angle of the cut quite dramatically in order to stay on the line and could not get used to it after using the FD blades for many years. I am just about to order more pegas blades, a dozen of each type that I have not already tried but also some Olsen blades and when I am happy with a particular blade will order in bulk. I have found that having a very good tension and as much speed as possible leands itself to a better and quicker cut.
