Well I got the glass fitted today and tomorrow I shall fit the door in it's new home.

I think it will look even better when it is painted too. :wink:
 
If anyone has a copy of the said tome, Joyce's reference to fox-wedged tenons can be found on page 188, fig 118:11 if it's of any interest - Rob
 
Here it is finally in place and ready for a lick of paint. Took some hanging as the frame was out of whack as usual. Still cutomer was very happ with it.

Mailee - looks excellent...seems a shame to paint it. If it were mine a few coats of matt acrylic varnish would do it for me - Rob
 
Its looks great!

Is the width of the bottom and middle rail larger than the top rail? Just wondering as I always tend to make doors with larger bottom rails than the top rails. :?: (The picture doesn't seem to show)
 
No Sim they are actually the same size on this one. It is normal to have the top rail narrower than the bottom ones but this had to match the existing doors. :wink:
