I'm trying to help a neighbour who wants to paint the outside faces of some oak kitchen units which are all in good condition in a deep red/maroon colour. (Is there a feminine version of the mid-life crisis? )
I've recommended sorting out any hinge/ handle problems first, washing down thoroughly with sugar soap using a soft scrubbing brush then a good rinse and dry.
I recently saw somewhere advertised a furniture paint for just this purpose but as you can imagine Googling the same brings up 1,276,345 results (but in only 0.2 sec).
The product had a name like 'Coverall' but that search invites me to buy dungarees!
Oh Sages of UKW, any suggestions both for product and anything I haven't thought of?
