P A Anderson planes

I've been scouring Ebay for Mitre Planes and came across a beautiful wooden Mitre plane stamped with P A A Anderson. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Cant say I have heard of Anderson planes but a quick search showed this.

There is always the chance that the owner put his stamp on it.

Anyway if it looks like a good deal grab it.

His wooden planes do look great and are reasonably priced, Note, the Wayne Anderson in the USA makes metal planes, whereas our man in Greenock is a woodworker. My reservation with wooden mitre planes is the 1/4 " or so plane side rather than the 1/16" on metal bodies. Do you go to the tool auctions just south of Derby?

I have a Philly Skew Mitre plane which I bought last year. I love it. It is a pleasure to use and is easily the best plane I have for end grain work. Phil also makes a plain low angled mitre plane which I think is more like the ones you've been looking at.
