Oil can.... for plastic?

Posh Dyson vacuum, pipes 'slip' together, except they don't?
Any suggestions for a lubricant for hard plastics please?

Silicon spray? (Having dismantled several older models to repair them for friends/family l went from liking them to disliking them, sounds like they haven’t improved)

I wouldn't wan to use anything greasy on a vacuum cleaner. One of these very thin PTFE aerosol sprays maybe ?
Is there the option to use a very fine abrasive, car polish or some such to smooth the surfaces that are causing you problems ?
What sort of Dyson is it ? We don't suffer the same problem with ours.

I like the idea of car polish!
V11 something or other, just friction fit... but too much friction IMHO

Go easy with the silicone spray that stuff is a menace.

You can get some stuff (I conveniently forgot the name) which is a graphite powder which is used for lubricating things which react badly to oils.

-1 to silicon, +1 to polish (all sorts, including candles).
Tried car polish (smoothing with emery not right due shape) and that seems to work?

(Ashamed aside: Found a filter - yes clogged after 2 years being ignored.
Took the thing apart, compressor to the fore, even the 'foot' thingy was clogged with fluff. )
