We have decided to up the spec of the wood trim in our Lounge and fit some new doors and architrave/skirting, this now extends to the hallway and study and kitchen doors. I have seen a good price for some engineered trim and this may be a good buy in that it's stable. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to suppliers with a keen eye on the price. Doesn't neccessarily need to supply all components from one supplier.

Cheers Alan

Try and find your local Howdens joinery, I'm pretty sure they sell the doors.
I recently saw oak door linings and skirting in my local Travis Perkins. Might be worth a try there too

I normally buy skirting/architrave from local Travis Perkins. 4" Oak runs at roughly £4 per metre and they will profile for you.

Another supplier I have just remembered is Southgate Timber.
I'm not too sure if they are a trade only place though

Ridgeons do an oak veneered mdf skirting and architrave. Not sure of the price but it should be good compared to solid
