5 and 6 are the terminals to the switch hope this makes things a bit clearer

Not knowing the internal arrangements for 4-8 and 3-7, nor the internal connections of the original motor I can't give a complete answer.
What I can tell you is how to wire up what you wish to achieve though.
First I would need to know, as I said earlier, the current capacity of the light sensor's relay.

Roy.

Righty oh.
First step, does the switch operate when power is applied and the ON button pushed?

Roy.

Then either further tests are needed or simply the wire relay contacts into the switch live supply line.

Roy.

roy the switch is still wired to the old motor and worked up untill i dismantled the thing so i meant it worked in that configuration is that what you were asking

No, that isn't what I meant I'm afraid.
The difficulty I'm having with this is that the third wire, forget the earth wire, must do what ever its for either within the switch or within the motor.
I would forget the existing motor if you're not going to use it and set the NVR up to do what you want it to do on the new set up.
Finding out what the third wire is doing would be easier with the motor removed.

Roy.
