just ordered a Veritas low angle jointer - had a look at one earlier and liked it plus the price point made the decision an easy one
 
I have a #07 (record) and I'd love a #08.

Thing is, that's because I also have a #03, #04, #04½, #05, #T5, #05½, #06 and #07, all from record, and I got suckered into this whole "gotta catch them all" line of thought before I knew what was what :D
So I'm now vulnerable to salesmen with #02s and #08s :D
But for actually making stuff with them, I use my #04½ set up as a smoother, my #05½ as a jack (I find there's more room for my hands in the ½ planes) and the #07 for jointing and the #T5 for shooting. The others haven't left the box in months. Maybe when I get them up on the wall...
 
In terms of buying a LN, no matter what size you buy, you won't regret it, so push the button.

A number 7 will achieve everything you want in a jointer.
