dead simple but what wifey needed :)

Wifey Sells Pet products - Toys Chews Harnesses/Leads etc etc, and has up to now been struggling with stacked boxes. Trouble is when she needed something out of the bottom box .......

So I said I would make some pigeon holes for her.

I bought some 1/2" MDF and was going to make them out of this. Thinking more on it they would be extreemely heavy and I had loads of bits of 6mm ply cluttering up the place !

So I cleared some space on my work bench :)

Ripped the MDF into 2x4' peices. ripped some more scarps into battons and glued and screwed them as shelf supports

there you have it - done in an hour and a half.

That is the third of three. When the glue has dried over night we'll put them in her shed and take a couple more pics

fast work! I get paid to do woodwork, and i'd of probably taken longer :D saying that though, everyone needs a break in between

just to be clear - I had done the batons already when I made the other one - so that isn't included n the hour n arf :) just from when I quoted 'start the clocks'

I know its just a functional shelf unit - I just posted for those that might not realise how quick and easy these could be.

I thought about dado'ing for the shelves, but my 1/4 router bit was too wide for the 6mm ply. If I had time to let the batons glue up over night I would have used brads instead of screws. The screws were just so I could press on.

but the best thing is, I used up loads of my ply off cuts :)
