Yes thanks Duncan for the hospitality today, I had a really great day. Being prepared to fill your workshop with as rowdy bunch of miscreants as us on what would otherwise have been a normal work day was quite impressive I must say. I hope we didn't scare any customers away.

It was great having the opportunity to meet some northern members (Mailee I'm sorry I didn't recognise you untill the end, discraceful) you all made us southerners (despite my Northern heritage, I feel I'm one now) feel very welcome. Learn't some valuable lessons today, got some great insights into Sketchup thanks to Steve Maskery and Shultzy, and some very important lessons from our host on how to successfully treat this as a business - filler in mitres indeed  - even managed, along with at least one other member, to leave my DNA on Duncans bench.

All this and the best fish and chips I've had in a very very long time, that's what I call a perfect Saturday 8)

Here's to the next one - who's turn is it anyway? :-k

Agree with all other comments, I really enjoyed myself. Nice to put faces to names and all the tool **** and sketchup stuff was very enjoyable.

I am happy to host the next one at Trimble Towers, but might be a few weeks off as I need to build up my good behaviour credits with SWMBO :D

Cheers all

Mark

PS Have a few pics, will stick them up over next few days.

Got the Msg bit late. but never mind from what has been said I am sure there will be a lot more meetings.
I spent the day trolling ebay, found a few tools I want.."not need"
but want...lol

Hello All,

Wasn't sure what to expect yesterday, but it turned out really well for me, met some good people :D

Thanks Duncan for hosting it, it was nice to meet you, I hope to pop back again soon to pick your brains on a few "Cabinet" techniques to help me improve.

good luck to everyone, and look forward to hearing from you all through the Forum

Regards

Jed.

P.S On the "Tool Table" photo, my missus said I look like a chimp in a red coat................that was my intensely interested look :D
