No power

I have an old(er) Hegner scroll saw and going to use it after a week or so it simply has no power at all. It was a bit hit and miss before but as a total electrical ignoramous I am not sure what it could be. Someone suggested the capacitor?

A multimeter can also be used to check if there is power.
