Chris Farlowe - Out Of Time (apparently)

Anyone ever heard of him? I'm assuming that the title of the song is 'Out of Time', but then again it might be the name of the group - it was the 60's after all!

Steve

Well, my understanding of the song was that this chappies girlfriend was not in tune with his "coolness" or desires and wishes.

"Oh baby baby you're out of time, oh baby baby your out of line and it's a crime"

Or something very like that.

Peggy Lee - That Old Feeling
Leslie 'Hutch' Hutchinson - Till Stars Forget To Shine
Margaret Whiting - Someone To Watch Over Me
As it says on the site: "PLEASE NOTE: The chart did not exist before 15th November 1952"
Oh, and Tex Ritter - I'm Wasting My Tears On You

cheers
Jacob

How many times have you been born Jacob?

When I was born, people had radiogramophones on which you had to change the needle after every play (I think a nail would work if you ran out of needles  ). Glenn Miller was probably top of the hit parade - except I don't think there was a hit parade in those days, what with rationing and all

Cheers

He of the splitting trews. My mothers fave, notsure whether the two were connected. "Out of time" better known as the Stones Version though I happen to have both.
cheers Mike
Not sure if Chris Farlow split his trews - certainly P. J. Proby did (on several occasions)... Oh! of course I heard that from a much older person
Ah well, better come clean (I know you wont believe it - copyright V. Meldrew ) seems that it just misses my birth :(
There must be a site somewhere that goes back - just a little further :?:

Cheers :D
Tony

Thanks a lot gents! I now know more about Chris Farlowe that I ever realised I wanted to! Had to do some research on google only to find that he is still touring. I still don't ever recollect hearing the Chris Farlowe version of 'Out of Time' but I'm sure that somewhere I have the Stones version.

Happy Easter one and all,

Steve

Frank Ifield - Lovesick Blues

(never heard of it :? )

Will have to buy it now just to find out

old but not as old as some

Andy

Mine was also that bloody Frank Ifield - Confessin'...

When our twins were born the operating theatre radio was blaring out Dire Straits Brothers in Arms. Would have been quite apt had they not been girls. Mind you the missus was in dire straits at the time.

Frank Sinatra with "Three coins in a fountain" for my birthday.
A classic from 'Ol Blue Eyes.

Scary coinsidence that one...

In my WindowsMediaPlayer the song with the highest play count is Bryan Adams: Everything I do (I do it for you) - yup, sad I know, but it is...

Just looked up the number 1 on when I was born (31st July 1991) and that was also Bryan Adams: Everything I do (I do it for you)

Now either that's one hell'uv'a weird coinsidence or I like out of date, but not classic, music... :|

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand all this new stuff (known as Rap, I believe?) I much prefer the motown classics, unusual for someone of 15, but that's me...

Enough of my waffle :p

Cheers,

Sam

Lita Roza - (How Much Is) That Doggie In The Window?

Can you believe that sort of garbage ever made it to the charts? No wonder everyone went mad when the Beatles and Stones came along!
