Nice firewood - beech bowl

This piece of wood came from my dad's firewood pile -
the village he lives in has a chair factory that sells pallets of offcuts for burning. Most of it's not much use but occasionally there's a decent sized piece in the pile when I go home
This one's 30cm diameter

I get loads of wood for turning from firewood piles - just have to watch out for worm before bringing it into the workshop to dry! :shock:

I like the bowl....its a nice piece of wood and looks good with the contrast of the spalting on one side.
