Hello,
I am a newby woodworker. Retired, moved 700 miles back home and set up my workshop all in the last year. Ive built a few items for the wife, kids and g'kids. Jewelry box, hope chests etc.
I was online looking for jigs and general woodworking advice when I ran across this site.
First I think you have a great forum. Second after perusing some of
"Niki's" jigs and tips I believe he would better be described as "engineer" rather than furniture maker although I would imagine he is a superb furniture maker.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say I'll be reading here often and probably asking advice often.
Thank you for your patience.

Hi Jim, and welcome to the forum.

30 years experience as a saw doctor? If you want a quiet life I'd delete that info from your tag line now :-$ - or I suspect you'll be answering more questions than you ask once the word gets round  .

Hi Jim

Welcome to the mad house.

I hope you are looking after the colonies for us ?

Thanks to each of you for the welcome and Alan, the colonies are not in the best of shape right now but I hope I'm not totally responsible for that.
And by the way my ancestors several generations past (I think around 1800) were Tyson's and Woodhams from Merry Olde England. :D

And not so merry right now either, but what the hell, welcome.

Roy.
