Blimey another Pete  Welcome to the zoo. Like Graham I like the engraving. Something I haven't really tried (yet) How did you keep the knot in the square platter Glue or luck?

Welcome Pete, nice to see in our little bit of the web.

Welcome, Pete
Some really nice items on your web site, as well as this square bowl.
I think your prices are very low - the sheer price of raw burr elm here is higher than you're charging for a beautiful finished piece..... Are you giving it away?
I like the oak and brass bangle - how did you do it?

Thanks everyone for the kind words

The Oak and Brass bangle I made by turning the bangle from a blank then parting off and remounting over the chuck jaws, then filling a void with brass powder/epoxy before finishing.

The square bowl is Blackheart Sassafras, and the knot was pretty stable - no superglue needed this time. The engraved bowls are actually sandblasted by my partner, who is a glass engraver.

Hi
I'm in Craigie - I have several friends in Alyth tho - I'm not related to Les, though as I'm a musician I get asked that question a lot.

welcome Pete
I just had a look through your Flickr site and liked pretty much all the turning I saw - a great variety of shapes all well executed.
