it can be mega friendly or mega unfriendly tom but first and formost it must get visitors and it has never had allot of traffic- even if you put "fromthetree" into google its somthing like page 8 before it appears.
I havent looked at the stats recentley but it used to get some months with 0 visits and some with 10 or so
its a hobby and no more so 1 bit sold every few months is fine by me- the rest are either given away or binned- if i was too get more sales it would take the fun out of it and i dont want that

Please don't bin your "unwanted" items, I'm sure that charities could make a few bob from auctioning/selling them.
Around these parts there are charity auctions fairly regularly, and they're always looking for bits and pieces to sell off. I'm sure that it's the same where you live.

Hi George,
I think you are in a very lucky position in being able to treat your turning as a hobby and not have to rely on it for income.
Judging by the examples you display for us on here, it is not for lack of skill.
If this is how you see your turning, then I think your website is fine, and does just what you want it to do.

Hi George,
I just did a quick Google. If you search for "fromthetree" yours comes top as this is your web address. If you search for "George Allan Watkins", yours comes top again, because your name is on the top of each page. If you search for "from the tree" you are way down because it doesn't say "from the tree" any where on your site except on the heading but this is a logo rather than text so probably won't be read by Google. I reckon a few tweeks and your ratings will go up considerably.
