Hi all this is my newest edition to my nest of wadkin iron. Its a CK I liked it because most of the RAS's out there are BRA. Its a bit weird because the main body is made from cast ali. Its been outside for some time so its going to need some major TLC. I got this to replace the dewalt RAS but it may be awhile before its up and running.

I have a Wadkin 14 inch BRA and its fantastic bit of kit. Not seen one like yours in the flesh, but it looks like a good bit of kit. Hope to see LOTS of photo's during the restoration.

I believe this one dates back to the 1940's because of the extensive use of ali. post war surplus. I really like this one its got lots of nice details like little oilers everywhere. I think I may be getting addicted to this old iron thing. I've just bought another PK saw and a big morticer and a knife sharpener

I've been wanting to get a PK saw for some time, but they seem to be making silly money

I was planning on 'wallacing' it and then selling it. It does have some major items missing like the fence, quadrant, crown guard. But will still be a very capable saw just not original. I very nearly got a PK with the slider extension and was complete but someone had deeper pockets than mine. It went for £1400, thats why I bought this one to cheer myself up.

Looks great, Was the PK the green one on ebay that went for 200ish?

Yes Andy thats the one, the fence got delivered to me and then I forwarded it onto Jarret in canada and the other parts went to Australia. Because I lost out on the complete PK I got the remains of the other one. I am having some problems getting it home because the courier I sent to get it refused to collect because it wasn't on a pallet. So the guy who has it is going to ask a local farmer to come along with his manatou and lift it. How did you get on with putting variable speed on your planer? I have been messing around with mine and I think I've cracked it, I put a separate motor on controlled by a VFD and it works pretty well. I'll post some pics and stuff.

The joy of moving big old iron!

I've not got round to fitting it yet, I've got all the parts ready and waiting, I've been having a change over the past month and doing some woodworking rather than playing with machinery.
