Thinking of buying a Rutland lathe this will be my first lathe .Good or bad.?
Thanks much appreciatedMy inclination would be to buy from somewhere like Axminster, who can offer practical support, or Yandles, where you have a physical shop selling known brands with good parts back up.
Rutland's are ok if everything works straight out of the box, but lacking in customer service these days it would seem. Used to be able to phone them and speak to someone who knew what they had in and how it worked
What do you think of the Record 320?Thanks much appreciated
I've had my Record 320 for quite a few years and have no complaints. Backed by Record's 5 year warranty.
