New Jet P/T fences

Finally had time to fit one of the new "machined face" fences** on my jpt-310 p/t; unlike the earlier plain extrusion, this one is as flat as one could wish for.

Waka, on the wrong side of 60 I grew up with 35mm; we do have a vest pocket digital jobbie but we're not into filling cyberspace with fuzzy shots of aunt Edith and little Johnny etc- so I have nowhere to host a pic.

The replacement is exactly as the old, but with a machined (and it looks like RAS* too!) face. It's not perfect but much flatter across the width than the old. Maybe one day they'll redesign the extrusion so its all double section.

I promise myself one day I'll refabricate the (mild steel cream painted) slides from a chunk of channel and have the important face machined flat, so I don't have to keep resetting 90 deg every time I move the fence.... but it does plane very nicely!
