Hi everyone.
Im new on this forum. I am a woodturner and more recently a scrollsaw fanatic. I like making these:-

they are my passion and delight. However I dont mind making the odd bowl and pens and things. Looking forward to a long stay here.

Good to see you making some music with the lathe Bob, do you turn/form the metal ferules on the wood lathe or do you use a metal lathe as well?

I hand roll the ferrules from sheet and then spin them a little on the wood lathe. Im hoping to get a metal lathe next year.

Hiya Bob, welcome to the forum good to see some one making muisical instruments,although I could not play a DVD. Are those called Illean pipe's or Bag pipe's they look a very skilful piece of work.
