I'm new to this site, but big thumbs up from me.

My memory has let me down again and was hoping one of you guys could shed some light for me.

I was lent a tool for a past project and need it again. It was called something like an arcitect / arbertect ? Its similar to an angle grinder, the disc maybe slightly larger. It was great for carving into the wood and for creating curvey sculptural pieces.

Thanks, Chris

Thanks a million for that! just saved me loads of time and bother

Just baught an arbortech carver for my angle grinder :D

Welcome Chris

What sort of work do you do? Strictly carving, or is the carving to decorate some other piece (furniture?)

Best wishes

Neil

I make pieces of curvy furniture.

This next piece i'm making is a rocking chair, so after laminating plywood, chipboard and acrylic I'll use the arbortech to round the edges off, followed by sanding handtools.

With this layering technique I get some really nice effects.

I'll post some pics when this proj is done
