MY PIGGY BANK AFTER FILLING MY VAN UP YESTERDAY !

image0031.jpg

Chris, that is brilliant, where did you find it? A bank like that would suit me perfectly as I never seem to have anything to feed it.

nice piggy bank, but i do agree the price of petrol is crazy at the moment and it does seem to be getting any better.

Woody.

Just after clicking the link to this thread I picked up my coffee to take a swig and had just started when the pig appeared on screen - nearly finished up with sweet coffee all over the keyboard

 :D

That's very funny and yes the price of petrol is frightening at the moment. It seems to go up between each fill-up these days. I wish it would have a rest for a while. It cost me £59.00 last week and the tank wasn't even empty :( :x

regards

Brian

But fear not! The Government feels our pain!

Roy.

Around here in Reading, you can regularly see 3-4 planes per hour stacked at low altitude because there is no landing space at Heathrow, burning that aviation fuel at that height is not environmently friendly and very wasteful, and yet I am being charged an arm and a leg to get to work and go shopping once a week, we tried having shopping delivered to cut fuel costs but it's not the same, you don't get to "feel" the food if you know what I mean, and now the MP's want their mileage allowance increased to cover the fuel rise, the last time a head of government refused to listen to a reasonable request from the populace, Oliver Cromwell lost his head, look out Gordon.

Yeah Rich, but Olly was dead at the time. Do we have to wait that long?

There are many reasons why holding stacks are used Rich. The main reason is for organising the order in which aircraft land (especially at Heathrow). It is not usualy due to lack of landing space.

However, I agree with your point.

Its not JUST Gordon.

virtually every MP in the country is taking the P one way other the other.
We need to give them all a kick up the A.

We don't protest enough in this country. The French would be out burning sheep or something.Don't want to get all political but i voted for this lot and was glad when they got in but they wont be getting my vote next time.

We have by no means the most expensive fuel prices in Europe. Belgium, Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Portugal and Sweden all have more expensive unleaded than we do. However, these countries all have similar or lower diesel prices. Whereas in this country, diesel prices are spiraling out of control. This is what really affects us as higher costs for the hauliers = higher costs for the retailers = much higher costs for us.

I don't really mind higher fuel prices, but diesel must be kept comparible to unleaded. This is what grinds my gears.

I'm sorry if this sounds a bit picky but I can't help it. Cromwell died of disease - Charles II postumously executed him (not sure how that works!?!) later for killing his Dad.

And as a demonic 4x4 driver I agree Petrol is too expensive, whilst the goverment is thinking of imposing a "windfall" tax on the oil companies, may we should impose a windfall tax on Brown and Darling?

What I want to know is how come darlings hair is dead white and his eyebrows jet black, is that a throw back or is there lots of folk who have this.
