Turned a Oak Vase today

7" high ( 18cm)

4 1/4" dia ( 11cm )

The log I used was very dry and open grained :lol:

so I used a copper wire brush along the grain to open it up more

to bring it out I used liming wax and polish

Used some brown coloured wax on the bead

I am happy with it :lol: :p

nice :)
- a design idea for next time could be to put a matching bead around the top or to step the base bead in so that the vase and foot are the same diameter but the bead is smaller.
