Light, I use a cheap Tesco magnetic base torch stuck on the door and very easy to point where you want, spot and flood and I think £10. Same torch sticks on the lathe bed if I need to peer into deep hollowed stuff batteries last month's.
RP was almost all made outside the UK. They are progressively bringing manufacture back to UK. It's not where it's made that matters, it's the standards the brand/importer sets which is driven by the price they want to pay.
I have an axi 1950, ok but took a bit of setting up and tuffsaw blades. All I had the ££ for at the time. Like the OP it was mainly for turning blanks, but once you have one you find it useful for all sorts.
