Sorry for the kind of "show-off" but I had to share it with somebody and here in Poland, no one to share with (except my wife).

A few of my jigs are going to be published in "Wood Magazine" and one of them got the title "Top Shop Tip".

You can see the post here and also how the monkey looks...and if you click on the picture to "enlarge", you will see...bigger monkey...

Thank you
niki

Thank you so much

If I would write the book, Scrit would have a lot of work to edit it :)
Actually, I think that only half or less of the jigs would "pass" Scrit's "inspection"... :)

Well done Niki! Just one question - did you ever finish the tissue box or are you still working on a jig to help you make it

All the best,

Steve

Thank you so much for your kind words

Steve
If it was nowadays, probably I would still think about jig :)....at that time I did not have even circular saw.
On the pics below you can see the box....pieces ordered from local shop and gluon with..."Super glue"...

Mailee
Don't say that I warned you about what you are going to see :)

Neil
I'm posting in many forums but, the UKW is my "Base", every post is first posted here and then, in "all the others" forums.

Thanks again
niki

This is great to hear. Let's hope the recent 'heat' around this forum won't scare away fellow inspirational woodworkers.

Congratulations to you Niki.
Your thoughts for others has always come to mind on your postings.

PS. I also spent over an hour printing useful items at the woodmagazine web site. thanks again.

Hang on, does that mean you used... hand tools?

Thank you so much

Barry
At that time I had only Jig-saw and I manage to cut the oval hole with it.
All the rest was done by... hand tools

But I promise you...that was the last time...no more hand tools...forever :)

Hi Niki, well done on getting 'published' and no more than you deserve. :)

I know what you mean in that quote above, after spending hours, days even, in the workshop even when I show stuff to my wife she looks at it with a sort of 'glazed' look in her eye and says "Oh yes, that's nice, have you finished cutting the grass yet"

If you were closer I would drive up to see you and offer some moral support.

Will send you a PM about some other places you might consider getting into print with.
