No you haven't! You know the rules..............or at least you ought to..........no photos= it didn't happen. If your photos do happen to show evidence of a new plane, you will, of course, be accused of gloating. :D

I vividly remember opening the box of my first Lie-Nielsen (a No. 5 that I have since sold) and being awe struck by the finish and level of perfection of it. Obviously tools are made to be used, but there is still pleasure to be had from that first experience of holding something special.

Enjoy.

Tis true, whilst they may be equals on the performance front, opening the box on a new LN is much more of an event

Adam, as a noob it hink it's allowed - never stopped me anyway...

Cheekyboy - I post my pictures on a photobucket account and then copy the IMG link from the picture (it's either the bottom or next to bottom option on the picture) and paste into my message. As easy as that and I'm no techie

The LN 102 was my first decent plane too, and it's one I will never part with.

Watch out though, you're on the black run now and picking up speeeeeeeed!!!!

:D Hilarious!!

Gloat - 'to regard one's own good fortune of the misfortune of others with smug or malicious pleasure (probably Scandinavian)'...Collins English Dictionary

The gloatmaster extraordinaire (in my view) has to be Waka and if you had a look at the inside of this tool cabinet, you'd know why
However, the most deviant variety of the species is the 'drive-by'... an intentional side line gloat in the midst of a cursory discussion on some other topic. Waka's quite good at those as well   - Rob

I think Waka is in a league of his own.
His gloats are always very subtle and never match your dictionary definition.
I cocur that he is a drive by specialist.

With his collection how can you not be envious :duno:

I love a good drive-by. Always try and sneak one into any WIP pics I post, just for sh!ts and giggles ;)

Perhaps we should refer to waka as a tool ****ographer?
