my chicken shed workshop tour

Hi i am new to this fourm and thought you might like to see pics of my shed/workshop
i started renting the plase at the end of 2007 since then it has come on a fair bit i sublet 6 bays to my frinds and the rest has become workshop/speaker store/cinma
any way hears some pics i took a while ago i will try and take some more up to date ones today

A chicken shed? That's just about Heath Robinson enough to be my kinda place! That speaker store reminds me very much of Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future. You could literally blow yourself away with the right power chord (no power tool pun intended) and the right amp on a setup with all those speakers rigged up :lol:

Fruit machine reel bands on the end of the bench haven't seen any of those since I used to repair juke-boxes and fruit machines. Looks like you have lots of space.

the Fruit machine reel bands are of an east enders machine i didnt have a way of moveing it and it was going in a skip so i gutted it for all its goodes

i no its a bit messy i did do a bit of tidying today (the floor)
hears some more up to date pics

hears the new heater i have been working the heating matrix and fan still needs to be put up (bottom left)

its a wood burner with a small turbo the next bit to go in is a small cast rad to act as a back boiler witch will be plumbed in to a heating matrix out of an office with a header tank and big fan to get the heat right down to the bottom of the shed.

i sub let to a sola water heating expert who said as long as i have a hedder tank in the heat transfer circut there will be room for expanshion in the water

tanoid horn fulface convertion with internal mic and voice changer

more speaker convertion

geodisic dome me and my frind have made a couple of thease planing a 45 foot one next out of glassfiber poles

No offence intended here, in fact the opposite, I really like it. This is some of the maddest stuff I've seen made in a while. Is the tanoy hemlet your own design?

Most here are into woodwork, but I suppose the domain name kind of hints at a wider audience. That is assuming you aren't doing woodwork exclusively, of course. Got any other projects in the pipeline?

I can't take all the credit for the full face tanoid horn helmet i saw a roughly made one on a web sight and thought i could do better
i realise now that this is a wood working forum and will take some pics of speakers and other wood things i have made and i will post them tomorrow

Looks like fun to me, not sure I entirely understand everything in your pics but what I've seen makes me want to come back for me.

You should introduce yourself to Wizer and suggest jointly building a turbo powered sawdust burner, you and he will get on like a house on fire. Literally. Incidentally make sure you have 999 on speed dial if Tom is about. Or at least a video camera on full charge...
