I do apologise, it's the 1/2" track from Rutlands that works with the Festool clamps - memory definitely not what it was, should have checked before posting!

If you inset the track in the top of the table won't that restrict you from being able to cut on it. I see you mention resting sheets on top of some dogs, but would this be stable?

In my MFT I routed a channel to take a scrap strip of MDF as an inlay (just held in place with double-sided) where the blade cuts; makes it easier to replace after repeated use, and also means you can make bevel cuts without chewing up your worktop.I had planned to make one cut/channel in the table top with the circular saw, and use this as a guide for cutting any sheets in the same place. Unlike the MFT top, I've no plans on replacing mine
