I had trouble this morning with the mouse, after load up of the PC the pointer was stuck on the monitor, used the keyboard and navigated to shutdown. Did a restart and no luck, still stuck. Did another shutdown using the keyboard and left alone for a few minutes before doing a load up. This time success. Any ideas what was going wrong and do I need to make some adjustments. ( it did the same about 3 months ago)

is it wired or wireless (ie Batteries), if the latter then you may need to charge or replace the batteries.

Mine went that way, didn't work again after meeting the 28oz estwing

Both, I have the normal mouse with lead going into the back of PC and I have a tablet stylus & mouse connected via USB and batteries. But neither system would work initially.

In order for your PC to recognise the cabled mouse it does need to be plugged in at boot-up (also keyboard).

Suggest remove wireless devices and plug in cabled versions then reboot.

Thanks Roger, that must have been the reason it booted up the thirdtime and then performed.
Must have been a crossed line or something for the mouse/stylus not working on original and second boot up.
