I can't remember where I got the pic I made this pattern from, I collect lots of stuff to do with motorbikes. Years ago I'd have had this done on my skin instead of on plywood.
1/4 BB ply about 10" long overall

I was 31 when I got my 1975 HD FXE. That was in 1981. It chewed my finger end off in the primary chain when I was doing some work on the clutch. Ouch, I said. ;)
BTW, I rode chops nearly all my life, and now I have a 1200 Bandit. What a turnaround. :D

Eeeek, dropped me GSX-R 600 , less than 50 yards down my own road, and broke two ribs, cracked another.

1) First Sunny Day after Winter
2) Wash bike down
3) Race off forget what you know about bikes - (Water and Cold tyres = OUCHY OUCHY)

All combined = priceless now where's that MasterCard

£1500 worth of damage as I slid the bike over a road drain and then accelerated again to stop it going right over, which then it decided it was buckaroo time for me........ There was a second drain lurking

Martin ,love your bike ,I never rode a motorbike was a pillion biker many many times .Hope you don't mind this hijack .

I was in the US in 1999 in a place called Myrtle Beach NC . on a Golf Holiday , it was in Oct. It was also the Harley Davidson convention a week long display of Bikes Birds Booze and tattoos .For anyone interested in Harley's what a place to be .They rode their bikes up and down the strip most of the day and in the evening the judges presented prizes most if not all was over my head . I got several awards for doing things with booze ,was made Hon.member of several Chapters ,played only two games of golf and I had the best golfing holiday I ever had . Sorry again for hijack.

looks lovely Martin, have emailed you (well i hope it was you) let me know if you dont get it..

Got it, Steve, thank you very much. Should keep me busy - when I get the Hegner sorted. Got a very bad vibration and can see the blade moving sideways. I didn't get chance to look at it today but I suspect it'll be one of the cheap bearings I fitted.

Regarding the pattern: I've done a search on Google images and the image is copyright and sold through a couple of websites, so I can't post it. I did look for a way to contact the owner, called 'zstriker', but there doesn't seem to be any way that I can find, but at least s/he is credited now. My copy didn't have any watermarks, so possibly came from one of the free vector image sites, but I really can't remember. The ones on the two websites do have watermarks.

Hi Eugene,

No problem, I reckon that if you can't chat occasionally in the forum threads, they become too sterile. Or something. :)

I know Myrtle Beach through an old friend who lived in Georgia who always holidayed in Myrtle Beach when it was bike week. She used to send me lots of photos of the bikes, and this was in the late 1990's when we still sent real photos through the post. Sadly, we lost contact, and the photos got ruined a few years later when one of our central heating radiators burst and squirted black gunge all over them.

Martin.

Looks good in wood and less painful than on skin, unless its someone else’s .

Take care.

Chris R.
