Bleeding hell ! I have finally pulled "Morty the Morticer " out from its container to do some serious mortices, and most of the chisels are slightly blunt.
Okay then, time finally to get the bits and bobs to give them all a good sharpening.
BLEEDING HECK ! have you people seen the cost ? the cheapest set for British style chisels, was / is £ 60 exVAT

Even APTS sell them above that price. As I have the full set from 1/4" to 1" I need 3 sets according to APTS  = £ 278

Managed to get a deal with CLICO and got 2 1/2 sets for £ 200 plus post.

Hi HS

I am not sure from reading your post, if you got a new set of chisels ( for that price I would guess you did ) but if the set you have are ok.

You could have just got the bit to sharpen them with or Tilgear do Fisch ones at a good price and Mulitco ones too ( but they are a lot more money ) .
They start at £42 + vat for the Mulitco's and the Fisch start at £28 + vat. 8-[

I hope its not to late to have a look :)

The CLICO will be good ones so I would guess its not a big problem :-k

If you are talking about the sharpening bit, then Tilgear also do a set for £25 + vat and that comes with a diamond stone too  :)
