I will be going for the head torch myself, mine has a loose connection and I keep having to bang it to make it work. I told SWIMBO about this and she asked if I do this while it's on my head? yes I said........ and while the client is present? ......yes I said.......do you want a coffee? she said and left the room abruptly.

I went for the :
Angle grinder stand. It doesn't have a 45 degree option so didn't buy it.
Workzone Cree headtorch superb!!
Cutting discs 50p each, bought an armful.
Inspection camera None left.

Plenty at A5 HINCKLEY store and really useful bits of kit them cameras 8)

Andy

I'll have a look at a couple of other stores while I'm out and about tomorrow, thanks.

I got the AG stand. Graham, it does have a 45 degree option, the vice swivels.
I've spent the best part of an hour assembling it, though. It's not actually difficult, but it is not obvious initially what goes where, and there some extra bits you won't need. It seems to a very decent piece of kit. I've not been able to try it as I can find only stone discs. I'm sure I have a packet of metal ones but I can't find them :(

Ah! Thanks Steve, in that case I'll go get one. You'd think they would put it on the box, I scoured the text but couldn't find a reference to it. They also have some very cheap 125mm discs.

Would love a set of their chisels, to see what all the fuss is about, but unfortunately they don't do internet sales and I can't see an Aldi coming to Shetland any time soon!

Id buy a set and send them to you if you wanted.

They haven't had chisels for sale for a good while. I've been looking every week but they aren't popping up in their DIY sales. I emailed them a while ago and they didn't get back to me.

Recent experience suggests Northern Ireland is a week or two ahead of the rest of the UK, so keep your eye on NI, then you know they'll be back here soon.

That would be fantastic.

If you can get your hands on a set, let me know and I'll get some cash to you.

I picked up one of the angle grinder cut off stands today. It's as you would expect cheap and cheerful. However with a little modification it will do for a handy quick option for small stuff. This is what happened to the pull down lever half way through the first cut. It's not necessary really, it's just as easy to grip the grinder.
