And here are me bottle stops.
Used off cuts of Apple,Beech, and Cherry Plum, which turned lovely, and left some very nice colouring in.

All very nice Paul,

The Bottle Stoppers look great ! - What do you use for the insert ? - Looks like cork/wood dowel with some kind of sheath ?

Loz

Lovely neat clean looking work there Paul. Nice to see a one off bowl as well. Beautiful wood. Good that it stayed in one piece.

Really like the bowl Paul. spectacular figuring and the thin walls give it almost a porcelain look to my eyes.

Thanks for the comments :D

No Loz i made these from one piece of wood, turning the dowel part first, held in chuck jaws, to 14mm dia, than turning that round so the dowel is held in the chuck and then turned and finished the knob part.I left the dowel part bear wood.

Thanks Chas.It is a poor piccy really. One of those where i just couldn't get a good clear one  but it did finish really nice.
I have another lump to turn so can't wait to do it. :D

Thank you for the comments, glad you like em :D
The bowl blank very nearly got cut up into smaller pieces as there was a split right down the middle, and had cupped quite bad,but it just shows again what can be turned out from what looked like a poor piece of wood :D
