I'm looking at getting some oak veneered moisture resistant mdf 19mm 8x4 sheets (just a few sadly) and am getting quoted about 60 pounds a sheet from Latham's. Is this a fair price for a small order? Does anyone know of anyone else I could check with who delivers to the South East?
Many thanks

Thanks for the replies. Oryxdesign thanks for the link. I hadn't heard of them before. Have you used them for hardwoods too? Impressions?
Cheers

Yes I use them all the time.

Everything turns up neatly stacked and in good condition

They are all very friendly, including the delivery guys, the place is clean and tidy and the drivers help unload.

They are local to me so if you visit them why not drop round and see me for a cuppa.

Not sure how much use this will be but may be worth tyring SL hardwoods. Have used in the past and sheets were good. Think the price will be about the same though. Think it depends on wehat type of face you want on it (quartersawn etc).

As a slight aside, I used MR veneered MDF to make a kitchen and talking to a chippy friend of mine, he took the view that there wasn't much benefit in using MR MDF as it is only as good as the veneer (i.e. the bit that you are intertested in) which would not be MR. My view was that once the veneer was treated it would be beneficial. Wondered if others had any views on this. Feel free to lambast my idiocy - you will not be the first
