You've got to grill your sausages, can't fry or oven cook them, that's just wrong. Or is this another topic entirely

I also find that olive oil can flavour food too much when doing sausages or omelettes for instance, sunflower much better in these cases

No other takers for Little Chef sausages then

Had some of the Taste the Difference lincolnshires at the weekend and whilst they're good, they're certainly not the best I've ever had. Something about the texture wasn't quite right, a bit too grainy I think and perhaps not herby enough either

Sausages should be bought at your
local butcher's shop.
(ex-butcher here and a very good
sausage maker) :D

We went through a phase of eating Charlie boy's "Duchy Sausages"..........I'm not sure of the exact name. They are absolutely delicious. Then, I found a packet with the price tag still on, so we don't eat them anymore!!

The best sausages in the world? Don't tell them, for goodness sake, but the South African Boerewors wins hands down in my view (Well, they have to be good at something......!!!!!!!!..........Ok, apart from rugby.............oh, and cricket). For special occasions, a herby Blesbok Wors is as good as it gets.

I tend to steer clear of any of the Duchy stuff (mainly 'cos of the price) but the Duchy organic beer which is occasionally sold in JS is (in my view) one of the best bottled brews that I've ever tasted... probably have a few in at home for Christmas - Rob

I like the JS Toulouse sausages already mentioned here and true toulouse sausages have a very high %age meat content. I find the cheaper ones tend to get filled out with water and rusk and taste proportionally nasty. I did once see a pack of sausages with a picture of Antony Worrall Thompson on the front and underneath it said ... " Prick with a fork "
