Hi to all,
I'm new to this forum and looking for some advice on miter saws. I'm looking at buying a 2nd fix Makita miter saw, I've been recommended a LS1018L. I'm not worried about budget just want best value for money. I would like to stay with Makita as every tool I've had have never let me down and just seem to go on and on. Hope some of you can help

Thanks for reading

I've got one of those and have had it for a year. It's a smashing saw. Very accurate, easy to set up and has stonking capacity for a machine with a 10" blade. If something happened to it I'd get another without blinking.

I use an LS0714 and love it.
Crosscut is 300
Depth of cut 52

Not quite as impressive as the LS1018L but much more compact and easy to lug about.
Only £250 ex VAT as well.
