I have just picked up a used Rexon scroll saw (you have to start somewhere). It has an assortment of blades with it.
My first project, however is cutting some 1.5mm aluminium sheet for a dust chute for my TS. Do I need specific metal cutting blades like Mike's "Iron Man" blades? If so, what size?
Having done this, and fettled my other tools, I hope to find time to come back and try my hand at some more ornate wood based scrolling.
Thanks
Si.

Evening Knappers,
I have cut several Christmas tree type ornaments out of 2mm ally using
a no 5 or 7 reverse tooth blade , i find that if i keep the blade lubricated , they work better than metal cutting blades , (sounds daft don't it ) but it works for me ! think the less tpi the better it carries the swarf away !! i lube me blade with a product called "Abberwax" but vaseline works well  , just clean it off and redo it now and again
hope this helps --Frank-------- :D
