I've noticed that in several For Sale threads folks are asking location of the seller.

Clicking on the members Avatar Image/place holder or Name will show their location if they have added it to their profile.

Yes but places like, I don't know, say The Cotswolds, are big places. Oh, and London as well.

or better still, if someone puts an item up for sale and its for collection only then add an approximate area then people won't waste your time or theirs finding out you live 500 miles away

Make it compulsory for collected items in For Sale section to show location? Most folks would do it automatically anyway.

I never understood the reluctance to show an approximation of your whereabouts anyway. I can see why you wouldn't necessarily want to publish your address, but what's the problem with a town or even a county? (although that doesn't mean much in county that's about ninety miles long )
