Mdf & plywood sheeting prices

Hi all

On the following sheeting @ 8' * 4' what are the general price you all are paying nowadays for the following sizes 6mm , 12mm, 18mm

MDF (PLAIN )
MDF or PLY WOODS oak faced or sapele (single sided)
MDF or PLYWOODS oak faced or sapele ( double sided)

Just pricing up some , so i can start my tool cabinets soon, the local shed travis is getting bloody expensive. hc

What sort of quantities are you wanting, it can make a lot of difference, upto £20 a sheet for single sheet vs large order.

I get most of my panel products from Richard Russel their pricelists are fairly upto date.

Also you will have a job finding two sided ply or single sided MDF.

Just bought a single 8 x 4 sheet of 18mm plain MDF from B&Q for £14.66.

I only need a small amounts for now possibly only about 5 or 6 sheets , I'm still awaiting the e mail from travis given me there quote on what I might order from them . still now i seen others prices ,I'll know then if i need to look elsewhere .hc

Travis, is that TRAVIS DEARKINS ? they have to be one of the most expensive places to buy anything.

The timber yard i use has 18mm mdf on offer for 9-95 +v.a.t but this could be for account holders

If you were a bit more specific with your location in your profile it might help. If you are in the London area, as JasonB says, Richard Russell are competitive. I'm not sure that their minimum order is but they deliver to me FOC because they often have deliveries down this way. I'm near Guildford - they are in Croydon.

I'm in weymouth , Dorset . all i got here is TP , B/Q & Jewsons if i go further a field then delivery cost comes into it , sort of defeats the object really . hc
