Hello all. New kid (ahem) on the block here.
I'm hoping someone can help out with a very elusive Makita charger that I need, as mine has gone u/s. It's the DC 9710 model (year 2003 I think)
I've been searching all the Makita/tool sites etc that I have come across ont'internet, that's how I found you guys. The drill for it, is the 9.6v 6226D
& it has 2 batteries, (model 9120) 1 flat & the other in use, that's how I found out the charger had given up the ghost, when I tried to charge the low battery.
I'm of an age now that I only need to do the odd DIY job, so am reluctant to buy a new one. But Screwfix have, what seems a bargain with the Makita 8391DWPE3 18v at £97.86 all in, saving a whopping £80. But if anyone on here can point me in the right direction, or even know of an equivalent charger that will accept the 9120 I'd be grateful. Otherwise I'll guide SWMBO towards the Screwfix one for my Chrissy prezzy. :roll:
