One old tradition is to use a plough plane blade in the 'old woman's tooth' router. Saves on expensive toolsteels, and even if you're using the plough and router at much the same time, you can usually arrange to use different blade sizes to prevent too much blade-swapping.

One probable advantage of the HSS toolbit is that the edge should last quite well - sharpen once a decade!
