I reckon 50 pairs of legs might play havoc with my sanity, Brian.

When I was cutting the beetle, I breathed a sigh of relief when I finished it without breaking the feelers, but as soon as I started sanding the fuzzies off, the left one broke. Cheap ply again, complete with voids.

Good grief, Brian, you aren't expecting me to pay for materials are you? :D

Peter, not including legs, the bigger of the two flies is about 7" long, the smaller one about 6".

DuPont will send you 6 free Corian samples.

I can't imagine them being very big, have you had any? It'd be wasted on me anyway as just about everything I cut either goes into a cupboard somewhere or gets thrown away.

As I recall (too cold to go and look) they are about 2.5'' square and 0.5'' thick - in old money.

There's nothing to stop you resawing them to ¼ inch and getting double for nothing.

Well, nothing apart from not having a saw to do it with. :)

edit: There's what seems to me to be pretty cheap 6" squares on ebay, though I imagine Corian to be heavy, so postage is probably high.

Resaw it with a handsaw.

I just ordered another 6 samples, I'll post a photo when I get them.

I'd like to see ya hacksaw it Naz! its quite brittle stuff and although its easy to scroll saw it I think you will struggle to slice 12mm in half (I will be amazed if you do)

Challenge accepted. :-D
