Lumberjack variable electronic speed lathe

Does anyone know anything about this beginner lathe? Is it worth me getting for a first lathe to have a go? Apparently it only comes with a one year warranty. My other and preferred option would be the Axi aw355wl but it's £650.

If you get into turning you will want bigger/better quite soon. I have old Record CL4 with variable spped and can't fault it for what I want. I would try something like e bay link below - comes with a chuck as well as other bits which you will have to buy. Looking for £500 - no connection to me by the way.
