Gentles all, I am looking for a favour. I need a new handle for one of my Stanley Yankee screwdrivers. The old one split, was epoxied on, but ultimately split again. Would anybody be inclined to turn me up a handle? If there are any volunteers I'll send you a block of Oak or Ash or something suitable and either make a direct payment for your efforts, or make a suitable contribution to a charity.

Here's a photo of what the handle will have to fit... The diameter of the shaft Is 12.3mm, so I suppose a 1/2 hole would fit. (the distance from tip to tip on the 'fins' is 14.2mm) so that should give plenty of meat to jame the shaft into the handle. A 30mm deep hole will give the shaft plenty of clearance.

hopefully this will actually have the photo attached

I could manage that. I'm in Warwick so you could come round one morning or afternoon with the old one and the wood and we could get it done and have a natter :). It's time the lathe did some work anyway!

Thanks both, very kind. MMan I am often in Warwick, I work from time to time the other side of the Woodloes, I'll pm you and we'll fix something up.

Thanks a million.
