LED lights

Anyone read the letter in the paper about a guy who replaced his halogen lamps with LEDs only to find that he lost his DAB signal whenever they were switched on!

I don't read the papers, life's gloomy enough as it is. However, that is interesting. I'm assuming that we're talking about the GU10 mains LED bulbs? I can guarantee he's bought cheap eBay ones from China :roll:

As far as the halogen v LED light emission goes, I had one fitting with four 50w halogens and one with two 3w and two 5w LEDs on in the same room, and I'd have thought if anything the LEDs were brighter. The halogens might have been on their last legs, of course.
Roger - we know what you think of DAB radio, it's not going to affect you, is it? :lol:

I've recently come to the conclusion that too many accountants have got involved in the process of life and this is not a good thing. They seem to have totally supplanted engineers or anyone else with half a brain. When Adolf Eichmann was caught, the phrase "banality of evil" was formed. Accountants are the most banal of people and seem to have the most power in our society. Therefore evil is now in control and misleads us all, particularly through financial statistics.

I take it you were watching something on TV with Angela Merkel at the time you wrote this? :lol:

I wondered where this post had gone. I do believe I'd just come back from the pub. On reflection, now I'm sober....I'd have to say I still hold the same views.
