Components 2,3,4,7 & 8 all look very similar to parts of the old RP3000 chuck system kit.....I purchased one of these from a member on here a number of years ago but couldn't get on with it and very shortly afterwards, bought a normal 4 jaw scroll chuck......I've still got the RP3000 chuck system somewhere in my workshop. I'll dig it out when I get the chance and post the pictures up so you can compare it with your parts.
I dont recognise parts 1, 5 or 6, so I dont think they were in the RP3000 kit..
a pin chuck.I think item 1 was used to allow boring things like standard lamps for the flex. A Coronet Major had a solid tail stock.
Item 2 may be a fitment to go in a chuck. Tricky to explain but I think the work piece was then drilled to accept the shaft with the ‘key way’, a circular roller was laid into the ‘key way’ as it was inserted into the work. This allowed it to jamb into ‘drive’ in one direction and be removable when reversed.
