Hi All. I have had these items since I purchased my lathe, a Coronet Minor. I haven’t a clue what they do or even if they went with the lathe in the first place? Anyone know what the are?

I think item 1 was used to allow boring things like standard lamps for the flex. A Coronet Major had a solid tail stock.

Item 2 may be a fitment to go in a chuck. Tricky to explain but I think the work piece was then drilled to accept the shaft with the ‘key way’, a circular roller was laid into the ‘key way’ as it was inserted into the work. This allowed it to jamb into ‘drive’ in one direction and be removable when reversed.

Components 2,3,4,7 & 8 all look very similar to parts of the old RP3000 chuck system kit.....I purchased one of these from a member on here a number of years ago but couldn't get on with it and very shortly afterwards, bought a normal 4 jaw scroll chuck......I've still got the RP3000 chuck system somewhere in my workshop. I'll dig it out when I get the chance and post the pictures up so you can compare it with your parts.

I dont recognise parts 1, 5 or 6, so I dont think they were in the RP3000 kit..
