Hi,

wonder if anyone can help.

Ive got a step that takes me down to a small bedroom, however the problem is this.

I want to laminate the bedroom floor but the step into it I want carpeted as it comes straight off a landing.

The riser is rounded which also adds to the problem.

How would I get a neat joint at the floor where the riser is carpet and the laminate?

Can you get some sort of plastic seal or cover strip what can slot into the laminate or is the only solution to get the laminate tight as possible to the riser and try and hide the edge with the carpet on the riser?

Hope Ive explained this right!

Thanks

By the time the carpet has been fixed to the riser it will stand at least 10mm proud so will cover any expansion gap.

I found that the thickness of the carpet covered the small expansion gap that I left between the lam. floor and the riser

Thanks for the replies lads.

Looks as though that one is sorted!.
