Any form of E stop is not a safety feature, they don't prevent accidents and are used after something has gone wrong. I think the table saw is the most dangerous machine in the workshop and if anything happens my reaction is to step away and not think about hitting the off button until I have evaluated the situation, distance is the safer option.
