Great start to a Monday! P/T would turn back on so investigated to see a blown capacitor. I have taken a photo and google search but can only see ones for compressor units! Does this matter or as long as I get voltage and uf right am i ok?

Also motor is 250v so have I had the wrong capacitor all this time

Iusually get mine off ebay ...just following the numbers....
look for the correct voltage on the adverts...
the capacitor will have all the info either prited ofstamped on the body..

you need a 400/450 v capacitor to work at the peak voltage of 230v ac mains.

I have ordered one now. I matched the v, hz and uh number. It’s also the same size so hopefully all should go well.

Contact Power Capacitors in Birmingham, I have used them several times always come up trumps ! Plenty of advice and the prices are IMO very reasonable -- a satisfied customer !
